Capshun & Quiet Bison- Acai Tower
Capshun pairs up with Portland producer, Quiet Bison, in his first song of 2020 to serve us “Acai Tower.”
I really enjoy how Capshun does his releases, as they feel like a gift every time. Each release over the last year has just been a song at a time, but it’s very much quality rather than quantity. Each song comes with its own album art, which really affects how these are received. They’re all very interesting and unique, providing another layer of art on top it all.
This collaboration ultimately just proves everything I’ve said previously about the man behind the music. Both styles of the artists peek out which just makes for a very different sounding production. Something I don’t think could have been achieved single-handedly. There’s a looming sense of progression throughout the whole introduction and then suddenly we are placed on a wild ride. Capshun's run over 2019 has been something great to witness. Exploring many different sounds and working with a wide range of different artists has not only honed his style but his workflow. Pairing himself with artists outside his local scene, like Quiet Bison, help evolve and shape his style. Capshun releases are really like an event for me, as they are songs that I find myself coming back to. Previous Capshun releases you should check out: "Daybreak", "Rising".
